I founded io after reading Robert Anton Wilson. lluminatus Trilogy is a satire of konspiracy theories. RAW is kinda the human Internet in terms of eclectic knowledge. I found out later Robert Wilson edited Playboy. |

I started iO while traveling from Ohio into Louisiana and Louisiana into Ohio If someone says O-H in Columbus..streets permeate with I-O chants because of Ohio State Football since I can remember.. While at school in Louisiana there was southern rap, jazz, blues, zydego and Cajun vibrance… After starting iO, I knew I would return to Buckeye City + everyone would yell io’s name….even from a football stadium of 100,000 people. Later I realized Cinci friends weren’t experiencing these iO chants constantly. I kinda tried to envision the idea: writer painted graffiti in a desolate setting + traveled 90 minutes + everyone was loudly praising. Although some lived in Columbus + knew oh-io was part of Columbus..I found it fun to find anew… I assumed the contrast skateboarding, rap, punk rock, metal and graffiti culture —which are individualist activities seeped in our rejection of anything we hated about our society— with all of Columbus elating i-o would elicit an instant feeling of personhood amidst a spectacle which would transcend with the vibrance of knowing your city was excited about something. The entire area would elate i.o.’s name like fans while in unison with acoustics of the heavens + the floor underneath their vantage. DIY, political girlfriends usually were dissappointed in me for including Ohio State Football in my performance. FeministAnarchist ladies respected my vision of i-o after experiencing the world is my Ready Made. The ‘why would you want anything cool tainted with sports’ persisted until we went outside + our feelings layered with vegan food, dumpster diving, shooting io vandalism fotos during urban exploration, racking, hip hop + punk shows, record shopping and political music discussion were subtracting defeatist tendencies of Guy Debord’s existence but completely comprehending Debord’s message.
