| RZA’s 36 Chamber Cinema presented Wild Style with Fab 5 Freddy + Charlie Ahearn. Wild Style was a 1983 movie which starred real graffiti writers, real emcees, real deejays, and real breakdancers. Wild Style’s story was fictional. The story was romantic and relevent in regarding the feel of hip hop’s inception. Wild Style dealt with the experience of graffiti writers, and hip hoppers who were developing Kool Herc’s Culture. Wild Style included the rest of New York’s Hip Hop discovery. | I haven’t seen Hep in person since a Weightless Show at Skully’s we were promoting during 2000thing. Hep would randomly show up once a year to Hip Hop events I was involved with. Hep was living in Florida with his family. I guestlisted him + walked Hep in wherever Hep would appear.. Kese + I introduced him to iOK at that Weightless show.. Kese gave him somewhere to sleep that evening. I had to handle promoter duties + went home with my girlfriend. Hep went back to Florida. Haven’t seen Hep since. Whom is Hep some ask? We will spare you the long read today. I shall type this compelling story in a proper setting. |
